OTT 67: A Closer Look At Standards-Based Grading

OTT 67: A Closer Look At Standards-Based Grading

Standards-based grading and standards-based report cards can be a complete shift from taking grades for primary teachers. I know when we first started doing standards-based grades my team of second-grade teachers and I had to have a lot of discussion around what this would look like. We were no longer taking an average. We were monitoring how well our students were moving along in the standard.

Today I sit down with a third-grade teacher Erin Julius from South Dakota to get her to take on all things standards-based assessment. I hope you will join us.
